Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Reading App Blocker: PageWard iOS/iPadOS application and pageward.tengrx.com process, why it is processed, and how your privacy is protected under GDPR and Turkish KVKK (Law No. 6698).

Effective: Terms of Use
  • PageWard uses Apple’s secure Screen Time picker (FamilyControls). We never see the names or bundle IDs of the apps or websites you choose to lock.
  • Book cover and page photos captured for Smart Proof are processed solely to verify reading progress and are not sold or used for advertising.
  • Your library, reading sessions, and streaks are stored locally on your device and, if you enable cloud features or leaderboards, synced with minimal profile data.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • You can request access or deletion at any time by writing to hello@tengrx.com.

This notice covers the Reading App Blocker: PageWard mobile app (App Store ID 6781827095) and the website pageward.tengrx.com.

2. Apple Screen Time & App Blocking Privacy

PageWard relies on Apple’s native Screen Time frameworks (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) to block and unlock selected apps, categories, and websites.

When you select apps in Apple’s system picker, iOS provides PageWard with opaque tokens. PageWard cannot read the actual app names, website URLs, or personal content inside your apps, and this information never leaves your device.

3. Smart Cover & Page Verification

When you use Smart Proof to verify your book cover or page number, the app uses your device camera only when you initiate a capture.

Captured frames are used exclusively to recognise the book cover and page progression so that earned screen time can be calculated.

4. Library, Streaks & Leaderboards

Your book collection, current page numbers, session durations, and streaks are stored on your device. If you participate in the Bookworms leaderboard, your chosen display name, avatar, reading hours, and finished book count are displayed on the leaderboard.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store / StoreKit) and subscription verification providers; we never receive your payment card details.

5. Website & Cookies (pageward.tengrx.com)

When you switch languages on pageward.tengrx.com, a first-party functional cookie named “pageward-locale” remembers your preference for one year.

Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare / Vercel) processes standard technical request logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) for security and delivery.

6. Your Rights & Deletion Requests

Under GDPR and KVKK Art. 11, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Send any request to hello@tengrx.com and we will respond within 30 days.
